Day 4
Today's route takes us from Challons to Chateavillain, along the River Marne. As you may have heard there's a lot of flooding here so I spent some time last night recalculating the route to avoid the riverside paths, taking firmer roads instead. This meant that Fr Michael could switch to the road bike kindly donated by a parishioner, making his journey much less arduous.
Day 5
In the van from the end of our ride, back to the hotel we found that the sat nav kept rebooting itself. Denese suggested I sing to it which did the trick, it seems that Tom-Toms like Bob Marley songs, not sure if the rest of the team like my interpretation though.
The countryside is becoming prettier and quite Alpine in appearance as we progress now, so we're really excited about tomorrow's journey from Pontarlier across the Swiss border and the beautiful Jura Alps to Aigle.
