Apologies All for the delay in reporting. We have been plagued with bad Wi Fi, two bad hotels and very long days !! And they just do not cycle fast enough !!
All they told Denese and me was, "Do not eat any wheat from this area of France". Now what do they mean?
Monday evening we stayed at Peronne which was the 6th June Anniversary of D Day. We paid a visit to the British war graves memorial, which to my shame I have never visited before. It was truly moving and something I will never forget. We spent too short a time there when they gave their lives for us.
Mike Burton took several photos of obscure scenery and himself with his selfie stick before realising that the camera was the wrong way round !! Just who have we come away with? Mike also has a problem telling us to go left when he means us to go right - hence slow progress at times !
We had lunch at the Iron Bridge over the Canal de Saint Quentin.
